How to Use Heading 1 and Heading 2 - and If possible, Heading 3
Creating HEADING 1, 2, and 3 within your page is much like creating a paragraph format in a word document, except you are now creating this format on a page on your website. Depending on your platform is where the FORMAT SETTINGS can be found, but be on the lookout for the terms, ‘NORMAL’ and ‘HEADING 1.’ NOW ONTO WHAT THESE TERMS MEAN AND HOW TO USE THEM.
WHAT IS HEADING 1?
HEADING 1, also denoted as H1 is the text that you format at Heading 1.
It is seen by bots as the most important text on your page. The title of your page is the best example of content that should be formatted as Heading 1. Only have one Heading 1 per page.
WHAT IS HEADING 2?
HEADING 2, also H2 is the text that you format at Heading 2.
It is seen by bots as the second most important text. Your keywords should be included in the text that you format as Heading 2. You can have multiple H2s, but keep it limited - for example, no more than the number of paragraphs on the page.
WHAT IS HEADING 3?
HEADING 3, also H3 is the text you format at Heading 3.
It is seen as the third most important text on the page. The subcategories of your content or even the highlights of the paragraphs in your content are examples of content that could be formatted as Heading 3. You can have multiple H3s, but not too many.
